She finds a small town named Lotus Valley, and with her friends, Alex, who can see the creatures who like to stay hidden, Felix, who has a secret crush on Alex, and Cassandra (Cassie) Cyrene, the third-most accurate prophet in Lotus Valley, adopted by the sheriff, Christie Jones, and the sheriff’s wife, the Cuban woman Sandy, discovers the secrets of Lotus Valley, the Flood, and the past. Christie Jones has a secret shadowy friend named Rudy, and Mayor Maggie Williams and the Mockingbird also have great parts in the story. As does the Flood, Rose Colter’s own shadowy secret friend.
